Supply Chain Management and Production
The research subject of the scientists employed at this chair as well as the academic education and our consulting activities are issues in the area of supply chain management, production and logistics. Our research focuses on deriving solutions from scientifically proven methods and use these solutions to apply them in practice. In practice we are also looking at rationalization potentials.
In multiple projects we could prove that the use of mathematical planning methods in finding solutions for supply chain management projects signigicantly improves the quality of the planning results. Here, the close relation between a practical-oriented application and the development of new, user-friendly planning methods is crucial.
